Been using these free programs for years!

GIMP:

It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

GIMPShop:

Uses the GIMP but its setup to look like and work similar to PhotoShop. This makes the transition from PS to GIMP easy!

Yes me also and posted on it earlier, but does not hurt, it's worth the effort to promote this program (Free Open Source)
